Pamphlet on the convict ship 'success'This catalogue has been put together by combining details from the 1890 and 1913 publications made to go with the ship when it was on exhibition. This was first done in 1890 in Australia. It gives an insight into life on board the convict ship from when it first transported prisoners to Australia up to 1851 and its subsequent time as a prison hulk. There are many accounts of the inmates. the ship was destroyed by fire in 1948 but until that point it was a popular draw. great for GCSE crime and punishment.
